Locals Only

For those of you in the Fresno area: If you haven't tried Mother Mary's Wood Flavored Pizza yet, you've got to try their garlic knots. If you have, you know what I mean. They're covered in garlic butter and parmesan cheese and you get a dozen of them for five bucks! Don't let Mother Mary scare you off with her wooden spoon.

How is the pizza? More importantly, how is the pizza priced?

I like cheap pizza--not just for the cheapness but for the salty greasiness. This pizza was none of the above. But I will order pizza from them--one of their specialty pizzas, like Uncle Jimmy's Chicken Alfredo or Nanny Theresa's Margherita. This isn't Domino's.

Check their site for menu and prices. You can even order online!

I haven't had the garlic knots, but the pizza is AWESOME! I am partial to the Shrimp Scampi pizza.

The prices are high, but the product is good.

The only issue I have is with their name: "Wood Flavored"? I don't want something that tastes like wood. If I wanted that, I'd grab a tree branch from the back yard, or cut up a 2x4 or something.

"Wood Fired" or "Wood Smoked," but please, no "Wood Flavored" pizza for me.

So, Sara, are you going to bring me lunch at work one of these days? I would like Pepperoni Pizza w/ a side of Garlic Knots! :)
